The idea behind this application is for the you (the web designer) to not have to work with code (like HTML) unless you want to. Technically speaking, 90 Second Website Builder is not an HTML editor, but rather an HTML generator. You don’t even need to know that the code is being written for you behind the scenes while you design, unless you want to. Instead, you drag and drop images, text and other website objects onto the design canvas and create a page that is ready to publish. You can think of it as a drag and drop desktop publishing tool for websites. While you

90 Second Website Builder uses its own unique file format (.wbs) to store the information for an website project. You store your complete website project (and all it’s web pages) into one single .wbs file. By not requiring the use of HTML directly during the design process, 90 Second Website Builder can do much more than just generate standard HTML objects: it supports shapes, drawings, navigation bars, RSS feeds, blogs, photo galleries, ready to use JavaScript’s and much more advanced objects.

If you want to work with code or code snippets, you can insert third party HTML into your page using the HTML tools (Page HTML and the HTML object). You can also insert custom attributes or other code for almost any object.

Standard HTML editors like Dreamweaver use a document method for layout, where you can not pick up objects and drag them where you want it to go on the web page. With 90 Second Website Builder, you can drag and drop the objects anywhere you want, giving you full control over the layout. You can overlay objects on top of (or below) other objects.
Traditional HTML editors use dynamic page Layout, which means that the first object on the page will also determine the position of the second object. Resizing or moving the first object will affect the complete layout of the page. You can’t overlap objects when using dynamic Page Layout.

90 Second Website Builder generates a Fixed Page Layout (unless you are using the responsive design tools in Version 10). These objects have a fixed position which is not affected by other objects. This also allows you to overlap objects and give you much more control over the layout of the page. Although, most objects are fixed, you also have the flexibility of using responsive design tools and/or certain objects that can have a relative positioning (such as layers) in order to accommodate more browser sizes and multiple devices that may be used to view your website.

When you use a “What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get” design method, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the page will look exactly the same in all browsers because each browser uses its own rendering engine and has its own interpretation of the HTML specifications. However 90 Second Website Builder will generate the most optimal code, to make it look as close as possible. We are also constantly monitoring the latest standards in web design and browser compatibility to make sure the software 99.9% compliant with the W3C standards.
